Today I had Shakespeare and then I was done for the day! Since I had finished most of my immediate homework I read North and South until lunch time when the other classes got out. After a little lunch, a group of us went to Kensington Gardens to fulfill one of our walks. We have had beautiful weather the past week. It has been cloudy but not really rainy, so the walk in the park was very enjoyable. We spent a lot of time wandering around but it was so gorgeous and beautiful (I'll post some pictures this weekend) that it was worth it.
Because we are leaving for a 3 day trip to the West early tomorrow morning (I don't really know where we are going but it will be fun regardless . . . I'll post and share everything), we wanted to get most of our homework done. Like reading a whole Shakespeare play before next class. So, after dinner we met at 7 to read A Midsummer Night's Dream. So many people showed up to read that we split up into two groups and divided up the parts so that everyone got a major character as well as a number of smaller characters. I know I've mentioned this before but no matter how nerdy it sounds . . . it was a blast. I is so much more fun to read a play in a group with different voices and commentaries and laughter than by yourself in your room. If you don't understand the title of this post let me just say that you discover quite a few great lines when you are reading Shakespeare's plays. Of course this line meant something completely different in Shakespeare's time but it gave us a laugh tonight. It took 3 hours to complete the play but it really was a party. Well, I better go pack because we need to be to breakfast by 6 am in the morning.
Love you all!!!
